By creating an account or using LeelaMaps (the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
These Terms form a legally binding agreement between you and LeelaMaps. Please read them carefully.
You must be at least 13 years old to use LeelaMaps. If you are under 18, you represent that a parent or guardian has read and agreed to these Terms on your behalf.
By using the Service, you represent and warrant that you meet all eligibility requirements and that you have the right, authority, and capacity to enter into these Terms.
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your password and for all activity that occurs under your account. You agree to:
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.
LeelaMaps allows you to post notes, comments, images, and other content ("User Content") tied to geographic locations. You retain ownership of your User Content. By posting, you grant LeelaMaps a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to display and distribute your User Content as needed to operate the Service.
You are solely responsible for your User Content and the consequences of posting it. You represent that:

Violations may result in immediate account suspension or termination, and may be reported to relevant authorities where legally required.
LeelaMaps offers an in-app payment feature called LeelaPay that enables peer-to-peer (P2P) transactions between users — including purchases of listed items, event tickets, direct payments, and unlocking paywalled content. All payments are processed by Stripe, a third-party payment processor, and are subject to Stripe's Terms of Service.
Platform fee: LeelaMaps charges a small service fee on each LeelaPay transaction. The fee amount is disclosed at checkout before you confirm payment. Fees are non-refundable except where required by applicable law.
Payment methods: You may save credit or debit cards to your account for use with LeelaPay. Card data is stored and processed securely by Stripe; LeelaMaps does not store full card numbers. By saving a payment method, you authorise LeelaMaps and Stripe to charge that method for transactions you initiate.
Currency: All transactions are processed in US dollars (USD) unless otherwise stated. You are responsible for any foreign currency conversion fees charged by your card issuer.
Taxes: You are solely responsible for determining, collecting, and remitting any applicable taxes (including sales tax, VAT, or income tax) on transactions you conduct through LeelaPay. LeelaMaps does not collect or remit taxes on your behalf.
If you use LeelaPay to receive payments from other users ("Seller"), you agree to:
LeelaMaps reserves the right to place holds on, suspend, or reverse payments where fraud, abuse, or a violation of these Terms is suspected.
If you use LeelaPay to make payments to other users ("Buyer"), you acknowledge that:
Disputed transactions: To dispute a transaction, contact us through the in-app feedback form within 30 days of the transaction date. Include the transaction ID, a description of the issue, and any supporting evidence. We will aim to respond within 5 business days.
You may not use LeelaPay to buy or sell:
Violations will result in immediate account suspension, reversal of associated transactions, and may be reported to law enforcement.
Using a location-based service involves sharing geographic data. Our Privacy Policy explains in detail how we collect, store, and use location and personal data.
Key points:
The LeelaMaps name, logo, app design, and underlying software are the intellectual property of LeelaMaps and are protected by applicable law. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works without our written permission.
Nothing in these Terms transfers any intellectual property rights to you, except the limited licence to use the Service as described.
You may delete your account at any time from your account settings. Upon deletion, your public notes will be removed and your personal data will be handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, with or without cause, with or without notice, if we believe you have violated these Terms or if required by law.
Upon termination, any pending LeelaPay transactions will be handled as follows: funds already captured by Stripe will be released to the seller; funds held pending seller approval will be released back to the buyer.
The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to fitness for a particular purpose or non-infringement.
LeelaMaps is not responsible for:
To the fullest extent permitted by law, LeelaMaps's total liability to you for any claim arising from use of the Service shall not exceed the greater of (a) the amount you have paid LeelaMaps (not other users) in the twelve months preceding the claim, or (b) USD $100.
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page and, for material changes, notify registered users by email or in-app notification.
Your continued use of the Service after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the new Terms.
